    Raising student team, open to public What: Holiday Gingerbread House Building Competition When: Friday, December 2nd from 7-9 p.m. Where: Appalachian State University Grandfather Mountain Ballroom in the Student Union, parking available in parking deck next to library after 5:30 p.m. Why: Raise awareness and funds for the Watauga Habitat for Humanity

    PARTICIPATE Your group will be provided with the basic materials to build your home including graham crackers and icing. We encourage your group to bring your own decorations for your home, either edible or not. This is your home: make it your own! RULES: 1. A maximum of six persons per group 2. House foundation to be built with the materials provided 3. Award Winners will be decided by popular vote and judges vote 4. Completion of house to be done in 1 hr 5. Decoration materials must be presented at time of registration; no late or inappropriate materials will be accepted.

    Awards: Peoples Choice, Best Structural Integrity, Most Creative, and Grand Judges Winner! MATERIALS PROVIDED: - 1 box of graham crackers, 1 bottle icing, basic candy (you may bring more!) PARTICIPANTS (group rate): Community members College Organizations, Clubs, etc. Local Businesses
