SECURITY
Safety First (SF) patrols district Wednesdays through Sundays 5 to 8 pm and conducts dedicated maintenance from 7 am to 10 am on the same days. Its service is reduced to 3 days

in Zone 2, Wed, Fri, and Sunday. Its community liaison efforts remain focused on Telegraph between 40th and 51st. SF was asked to clarify on their graffiti abatement efforts. The importance of distinguishing between public and private graffiti and quantifying those efforts are imperative, particularly as the organization shifts into efforts for BID renewal. SF was asked to keep track of how much time it devotes to graffiti removal as a baseline measurement. Safety First has agreed to provide us with an estimate of the dollar amount of their effort spent on services that should be done by the city, e.g., graffiti abatement on public property, and illegal dumping. SF currently devotes several hours to cleaning up illegal dumping too. We could consider asking the City to contribute to our organization for some of these efforts. SF was asked about using a stronger machine to steam clean and specifically pick up gum stains. SF agreed to investigate a more efficient machine for said task. ORGANIZATION Rick is sending out RFPs for BID renewal efforts to commence as early as May Annual Meeting will be held at Asmaras on Wednesday, April 24, in conjunction with regularly scheduled Board Meeting which will commence at 5:30 to hold Board Elections and other business at hand.
