    Washington Elementary School, Salt Lake School District August 2013-Present Student Teacher Taught 4th grade class of 22 linguistically diverse students at a Title I school in Salt Lake City. Developed and taught lesson in all content areas aligned with Utahs common core standards. Implemented a service learning writing project with 4th grade and kindergarten. 4th grade students collaborated with kindergartners to write books. Taught hands on units in science. Students were able to examine fossils, rocks and minerals. Collaborated with 4th grade team members to develop and plan for instruction. Trained and experienced with SMART board technology. Cambodia Service Team, Youthlinc November 2012- July 2013 Student Participant Traveled to the country of Cambodia for a humanitarian service trip for two weeks. Taught several English lessons to classes of non-English speakers in a rural village. Completed over 100 hours of local service to be eligible to travel to Cambodia. Orchard Elementary School, Davis school District Volunteer teachers aide Volunteered once a week for three years in a kindergarten class. Worked with the same kindergarten teacher throughout my time there. Tutored several students in letter and number recognition and reading. 2010- 2013

    Roosevelt Elementary School, Granite School District January 2013-April 2013 Read Today Volunteer Tutored four students in reading for 30 minutes twice a week bringing them to grade level. Rose Park Elementary School, Salt Lake School District Higher Steps tutor Tutored two 5th grade students with the Higher Steps reading program.
