Monday, May 19 - 8am to 9am The Year 1 Concert will feature all of the children in Year 1, and all parents are invited.
PLEASE NOTE It has been confirmed that Al Isra Awal Miraj will now be observed on Sunday 25 May 2014. Therefore JPS will be closed for the day on Sunday, rather than the Monday as previously published.
We wish all of our Muslim families a wonderful day of celebration.
GOING HOME EARLY We have noticed that the number of children leaving school before the end of the school day has recently increased. The school day is 7:30 to 14:15 Sunday to Wednesday, and 7:30 to 13:15 on Thursday, and children should be present for the entire day. Only in very exceptional circumstances can teachers give authorisation for children to leave school early, e.g. an emergency appointment that cannot be made after the school day. We ask please that, wherever possible, parents make appointments outside school hours so as not to disrupt learning. Should there be a highly exceptional circumstance where you need to take your child out of school early, please ensure that you email your teacher and reception (info_jps@gemsedu.com) well in advance to ensure that your teacher has time to see the email. Please note that children will not be sent down to reception until a parent has arrived. Thank you

"All you do is to look. At a page in this book. Because that's where we always will be. No book ever ends. When it's full of your friends. The Giraffe and the Pelly and me.

WELL DONE ADAM AND YUSUF!
Adam Afifi (1F) and his brother, Yusuf Afifi (4E) had a very sporty weekend last weekend. Adam played for the Spanish Soccer School in the Super 7s Football Tournament at GEMS World Academy. His team won first place, and Adam won the Best Goal Keeper in the Tournament Award! On the same day, both Adam and Yusuf played in a tennis tournament in Sharjah, and both won third place!
WOW! Thats amazing Adam and Yusuf!
Mrs Cathy Hamzelou, GEMS Music Academy, recently held a concert to celebrate the success of her amazing JPS students
