San JOse District Deped Order No. 78, s. 2010 - Guidelines on the Implementation of the Deped COmputerization Program (DCP). paragraph 1 states that: "With the mandate of promoting the rights of all citizens to take appropriate steps in making education accesssible to all, the Department of Education is geared towards the transformation of education through the Deped Computerization Promgram" PARAGRAPH 2 "DCP aims to provide public schools with appropriate technologies that would enhance the teaching -learning process and meet the challenges in the 21st century. This program shall respond to the computer backlog of public schools by providing them hardware and software, and training on simple trouble shooting." Deped Computerization Program Objectives: 1. Provide computer packages to Secondary Schools 2. Provide e-classrooms to Elementary Schools. 3. Provide laptop to mobile teachers 4. Integrate ICT in the School system 5. Raise the ICT Literary of learners, pupils, students, teachers, and school heads, and 6. Reduce computer backlog in public schools. In line with the DepEd Computerization Program is the Internet Connectivity Project.
Aims: To connect all Philippine public high schools to the internet. Provide necessary monitoring and training for students, teachers, supervisors and other school personnel.
Under the banner of the Deped Secretary, Bro. Armin Luistro, all the DepEd Employees are asked to acquire an official Deped Email acount which helps make work and communication in the department easier with more efficient process of transmittal and exchange of information and correspondence. This email account which is powered by Google not only includes the email service but also applications and tools that are useful in the office, classroom and file storage.
