LO FOR THE TERM to research, plan, prep, shoot and edit you music video, print advert and digipak THE SUMMER audit of your summer work PAIRED in pairs you need to audit each others summer work ! what did they achieve, what did they attempt but not achieve, what did they not attempt please use the sheet provided and complete in as much details as possible TIMEFRAME WEEKS 2!5 ! Research, planning, preparation, pre! production for music video shoot "and ancillary products# What does this mean for you? Make a list of what you will need to do individually and as a group to remain on track. PERSONAL SKILLS Make a list of your strengths in Media with evidence from your previous experience in AS Also make a list of your areas of development ! things you NEED to improve and also maybe want to learn more about. GROUPS All students will work in groups or 3 ideally If you havent formed a group you will need to do so. If you were in a group but someone has not returned, you may need a replacement. There will be no one working on their own and no groups of 4. You have 10 minutes to discuss with the others in the room what you can bring to a group and listen to what they have to o$er. GENRES Even if you have secured rights to a song and know who is in your group you still need to explore your understanding of the music genre you will be working in. Write down and discuss the questions in your groups: who are the leading artists in the genre? what is the history of this genre? what other genres does it connect with? QUESTIONS What types of music video would be typical of the genre? ! performance, narrative, concept, hybrid How do artist from the genre represent themselves? Who is the audience and what do they expect/want? Is there iconography, design, lighting which is typical of the genre? WRITE Individually, write up your discussion and plan how you will improve your knowledge of the genre of music through research. You need to have 3 actions to be completed by Thursdays lessons when you will revisit this as a group. The actions will need to be signed o$ by the group and you will be accountable to each other for completing the work.
