Year 8 Unit 1 Homework Project

This unit you will be learning about the population of the world and different countries in in. You will
need a computer to complete these tasks, so it you do not have one then please see me and we can
arrange for you to work in school.
See below the homework tasks for each week and the due in dates.

1) Choose one country in the world. Describe where
it is and what the population of the country is.
Include a map.

Look at a choropleth map for your country and explain
where people live or do not live.

Extra: Explain why this might be that some areas are

Find out what the population density is for the
country by dividing the population by the
