    Former Choctaw teacher accused of having sex with

    13-year-old student

    CHOCTAW, Okla. A former teacher at Choctaw Middle School is arrested and accused of rape.
    The alleged victim is a 13-year-old girl he met at school.
    Police say the suspect had a consensual but illegal sexual relationship with a former student.
    The teenage victim confessed to meeting with a former teacher and having sex at Choctaw Creek
    Park on several occasions.
    The victim told investigators she met the older man at Choctaw Middle School.
    At the time the suspect, Reginald Thompson, worked as a social studies teacher.

    According to the police report, the sexual relationship started last year, beginning in July and
    continuing on into this year.
    Investigators also claim Thompson used a cell phone app to send lewd pictures of himself to the
    victim.
    District leaders in Choctaw say they only recently learned of the alleged sex crimes.
    They add Thompson quit his job early last year before the illegal sexual relationship began.
    Neither police nor the school district wanted to comment on camera.
    Thompson is being held at the Oklahoma County jail on a 50 thousand dollar bond.
