    We will be following the Common Core Standards for Language Arts & Math
    and the ODE Model Curriculum for Science & Social Studies! We will also be
    visiting a special daily.

    details on Standards and Benchmarks covered this year for your third grader!

    What I expect in the Classroom

    Field Trips
    We have lots of fun field trips planned for this year!
    Attend two plays at the Childrens Theater
    Take water samples from river at Bonnie park
    Cleveland Aquarium
    Tour of the West side Market
    Parents I am always looking for parents who want to join us! Please
    let me know in advance and I will add your name to our list.

    Tardiness
    School starts at 8:15 A.M.
    Running late? Check in at the school office before coming to class.
    If you are tardy four times, the school will contact your parents.

    Why Homework?
    Homework is meant to provide a further extension of concepts learned in class.
    Third-graders benefit from homework by learning: study skills, responsibility
    and organization that they will increasingly rely on in higher grade levels.

    How you can help

    Make flashcards of spelling words.


    Become a reading coach for your child.

    Encourage them to do their best.

    It is the childs responsibility to understand the instructions for homework, I give large detail on
    assignments being sent home. Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Remember, I am
    always here to help!
