Reading about the faith of the early Chris an believers can be a real inspira on to

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Philadelphia for

the World Meeting of Families
The Holy Father, Pope Francis will be visiting Philadelphia
for the 8th World Meeting of Families, we still have seats
available in the bus. The Diocese of Savannah welcomes you
to participate in a pilgrimage to Philadelphia from September
2128, 2015. Mass will be celebrated daily with ample time
for devotion and re lection. Our pilgrimage will culminate
with a Festival of Families Papal Mass on September
28th. Fr. Douglas Clark from St. Matthews Church in States
boro, Ga. will be our spiritual director.

mos la oportunidad de escuchar en nuestro propio idioma las
bellas palabras que Cristo pronunci durante la l ma Cena y
que el sacerdote repite durante la Consagracin: Esto es mi
cuerpo Esta es mi sangre. Los monaguillos sonaban unas
campanitas indicando que algo importante estaba pasando y
los fieles levantbamos la cabeza para ver el pan conver do en
cuerpo y el vino conver do en sangre. El sacerdote nos daba la
espalda y no podamos ver lo que ocurra sobre el altar y res
pondamos con las palabras del apstol Toms: Seor mo y
Dios mo.
Estas palabras adoran la presencia de Jess en el pan y el
vino. Este momento se le consideraba el ms importante de la
misa. El Concilio Va cano II vino a ensearnos que este es el
momento cumbre, junto con toda la Plegaria Eucars ca, pues
toda la misa es igualmente importante, excepto que durante la
Plegaria Eucars ca alcanzamos el punto ms alto de la celebra
cin. Por esa razn ya no hay campanita, pues ahora escucha
mos todo en nuestro propio idioma.
