Outlandish Christmas Sweater Contest: Friday, December 18 wear your most unusual
Christmas sweater! There will be prizes for the most outlandish sweater in each classroom.
Those who participate in the sweater contest may wear jeans. If you dont participate you
must wear your regular school uniform.
Christmas Pizza Party: There will be a pizza party for all students and teachers tomorrow,
December 18. There is no cost. Thank you hot lunch ladies!
Parent-Teacher Conferences: Please remember to turn in your sign-up sheet.
8th Grade Parent Tributes: Start working on your tributes for the yearbook, they will be
due sometime in February. If you have any questions talk to Ama Rogers or Jackie
Hancock.

Math Facts: 3rd graders have studied all multiplication facts from 0 to 12. Please help
your student memorize them. Your students goal is to do 100 facts in 5 minutes with 98%
accuracy.

Science Test for Grades 1-4: Thursday, December 17.
End of 2nd Grading Period: The 2nd nine weeks ends tomorrow, December 18, 2015.
Please be sure your student is up to date in his/her work. All work for the 2nd nine weeks
need to be turned in by December 18. Thank you.
Christmas Vacation: Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I look forward to
seeing you and your students in January.

Our classroom will be having a Secret Santa. All gifts have to be made by the student.
A cheap gift exchange will be done. This will be provided by the classroom.
Computer printout of weekly grades and missing work is given every Friday.

Greetings from the 7th and 8th grade class!
This year has been full of new and fun memories. We are excited to see what next year
will bring. We hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May God

Cedar Lake Elementary is participating in Partners for Education with Southern
University. Our liaison person is Mrs. Mendez. More details will be coming at a
meeting to be held in January 2016.
Reminder: When it snows please stay out of the infield of the school yard,
surrounding the main building due to falling snow from the roof.
If you are behind in your statement and not talked to the Principal or the Assistant
Treasurer (our secretary); we will be sending you a letter to meet with the finance
committee in January.
