    HOUSEHOLD CHORES

    PRE-VIEWING
    1. What is a typical day in your life like? What do you do after school?
    2. Who cleans the house? Do you ever help with the household chores?
    3. Can we write down all the house chores you can think of?

    WHILE-VIEWING
    1. Watch the first 15 seconds and pay attention to what the mother is doing. Make a list
    of all the things she is doing.
    2. What does the boy give to his mother? What do you think it is?
    3. What does he start doing? Why do you think he is doing that? Why does he make a
    list?
    4. When the mother asks him where he has been, what is his answer? Why does he
    need to save her time?

    POST-VIEWING
    1. What is the message that this video is transmitting?
    2. This is an ad. They are trying to sell something to you. Do you think this ad is
    effective? Why? What product would you advertise with this ad?
    3. What type of family do you think this is?
    4. Do you think women should work full time? Who should take care of the house? Who
    should take care of the children? Should women work during the first few years of
    their childrens lives? Should fathers get paid pregnancy leave?
