A Lesson Plan in Music

For Grade 2
ESCOBER, Albert John O.

Learning Competency:
The Learner will be able to produces sound using voice, body and objects to
enhance a given story.

I. Objectives:
At the end of the session the students will be able to:

observe the different sounds produce using voice, body, and


objects;
appreciate the importance of being resourceful; and
perform the different sounds produced using their voice, body and
objects.

The teacher will have pictures of animals 5 picture for the dog, cat and the bird.
Direction: In order to find your match you will imitate the sound produced by the
pictures of the animals that have given to you.

IV. Main Activity

Read the story The Three little pigs to the children and
Emphasize the sounds of:
House that has been crashed down
Sound produce by pigs and the wolf

Voice sounds produce by the pig


Body sounds produce by the wolf
Object sound produce by a crashing house

Once upon a time there were three little pigs. One pig built a house of straw while the
second pig built his house with sticks. They built their houses very quickly and then
sang and danced all day because they were lazy. The third little pig worked hard all day
and built his house with bricks.
A big bad wolf saw the two little pigs while they danced and played and thought, Grr!
What juicy tender meals they will make! He chased the two pigs and they ran and hid
in their houses.
The big bad wolf went to the first house and huffed and puffed whoosh and blew the
house down krishh. The frightened little pig ran to the second pigs house that was
made of sticks. The big bad wolf now came to this house and huffed and puffed and
whoosh blew the house down Krishh. Now, the two little pigs were terrified and ran
to the third pigs house that was made of bricks.
The big bad wolf tried to huff and puff and blow the house down, but he could not. He
kept trying for hours but the house was very strong and the little pigs were safe inside.
He tried to enter through the chimney but the third little pig boiled a big pot of water
and kept it below the chimney. You cannot enter into my beautiful house Oink! Oink
Then the wolf fell into it and died.
The two little pigs now felt sorry for having been so lazy. Im so sorry Oink! Oink we will
promise that we will build our strong and beautiful house just like yours. Then the two
pigs built their own beautiful houses with bricks and lived happily ever after.

IV. Application
Form two groups in the class. Instruct the students that they will have to improve
a song and make a better sound out of it by using voice, body and objects. After
that they will have to share it to that class. They will be given 10minutes to finish
this task.

One bright afternoon, when I went to laguna my grandfather and I boarded a
train. I was amazed by the sound of the train. It was very loud and noisy that all
of the passengers heard it while it was so far in our station. Im amaze of how
train produces a very loud sound, louder than the sound produces by us humans
and the animals.
