The Railway Children by Edith Nesbit depicts

about three siblings in London who had to

move to the countryside with their mother
after their father was accused as a spy. The
family had to go through difficulties but they
were very determined to go through life
without daddy. Being determined means not
giving up in doing something until we achieve
success. Roberta or Bobbie, is one of the
characters
that
shows
never
ending
determination. She shows her determination
when she tries to stop the train from crashing
into the landslide, to save Jim, and to find the
truth about her father.

This novel taught me the true meaning of

responsibility and determination especially
through Roberta (Bobbie). The character that I
like the most in this novel is definitely Roberta
because
she
is
determined,
caring,
responsible and resourceful.

Ther was accused as a spy.
