    many beads as Sheela, Seela will still have 221 beads when Lila has
    used all her beads.
    (a) How many more beads did Sheela has?

    (b) Altogether how many beads have they been given?

    Mrs Lees bookshop has some fiction and non-fiction books. If she
    sells 60 fiction and 30 non-fiction books each day, she will still have
    284 fiction books while all her non-fiction books have been sold out.
    If she sells 20 fiction and 60 non-fiction books each day, she will still
    have 2134 fiction books while all her non-fiction books have been
    sold out.
    (a) How many fiction books did she have?

    (b) How many non-fiction books did she have?

    The ratio of the number of ducks to the number of


    chickens was 9 : 5. When 20 ducks and 22 chickens
    were added, the birds were distributed into groups of

    the ratio of 3 : 8. After exchanging two $10 notes for

    the rest were boys. When the school reopened after a holiday, more
    students had taken admission in the school. The new students had

    books on bookshelf A and 489 books on bookshelf B.

    11. Janice had 3 boxes. Boxes A, B and C contains a total of 1512
    pearls. The number of pearls in Box A to the total number of pearls
    was 2 : 7. Janice sold 190 pearls from Box B and sold 1/4 of pearls in
    Box C. The number of pearls left in Box B to the number of pearls
    left in Box C was 2 : 1. How many pearls were there in Box C at
    first?
    12. Irene had a total of 1686 red, blue and green balls for sale. The
    ratio of the number of red balls to the number of blue balls was 2 :
