    VOCABULARY # 1 ON HEALTH AND FOOD

    For other parts of the body we use pain.

    Common problems Eg. A pain in my chest – dolor en el pecho

    Sneezing – estornudos Hurt – doler

    Cough – tos Injure – herir

    To have a sore throat – tener dolor de garganta Painful – doloroso

    To have a temperature – tener fiebre Painless – indoloro

    To have a cold – estar resfriado

    To have flu – tener gripe Serious illnesses (enfermedades serias)

    To feel faint – marearse Lung cancer – cancer de pulmón

    To be allergic – Ser alérgico Heart attack – ataque cardiaco

    Symptoms – síntomas Heart failure – paro cardiaco

    To feel sick – estar enfermo Breathing problems – problemas respiratorios

    Rash – erupción Asthma – asma

    To have a hangover – tener resaca Depression – depression

    Allergic reaction – reacción alérgica Constipation - estreñimiento

    Illness – enfermedad
