 Good in wind and bad weather

Centre Pin Reel

 Ideal for troutting rivers


 No bale arm to release line
 Requires skill to use

Loading the line

 Load spool within 2mm of the spool lip with suitable line
 Over or under filling of spool will cause problems for casting
 Use heavier line as backing for lighter breaking strain line

Reel Maintenance
 Wipe with damp cloth after use
 Check behind spool for grit or dirt
 Lightly oil any moving part occasionally
 Ensure Enough line on spool
 Ensure reel operates smoothly
 Replace reel into reel case

 Sections pull apart, top section elasticated
 Not for specimen fishing
 Better presentation and accuracy than rod and line
 Easily broken, danger of slinters from fibre shards
