This document provides instructions for performing an M.T. Maya-Williamson turn, which is used to turn a ship around in a narrow space. The instructions are to first put the rudder hard over to one side, then when the ship has deviated 60 degrees from the original course, put the rudder hard over to the opposite side, and finally when the ship is heading 20 degrees short of the opposite course, center the rudder to complete the turn onto the reciprocal course.
