23rd Dec 2010 - Sultan Ismail Hospital refused to allow family of deceased, S.Kalaiselvam to
see the body today. Due to that, counsel for the family, Gurmit Singh had obtain a court order
for the family to identify the body before the 2nd post mortem conducted on 25th Dec 2010 and
allowed lawyer of the family to witness the post mortem. Kalaiselvam was arrested by police at
his home on 1st Sept and was remanded for 21 days at the Kota Tinggi district police station.
Then the detention was extended for another 60 days under emergency ordinance. Later he
admitted to SIH and on Nov 22 Kalasiselvam pronounced dead. The 1st port mortem report

December 5th , 2010 - The Lions club of Jb Metro, Lions club of JB Mandarin and Johor Bahru
Happy & Joyous Club came together to organize a Christmas party with a theme of "Fun In
Fantasy Land" in The Zon, Johor Bahru for 300 special children from 9 homes around Johor
Bahru. The kids were entertained with games, songs, magic shows and other fun activities by
106 clowns, Astro champion singer and JB Michael Jackson. The event sponsored by Parkway

Dapsy Johor Selatan telah mengadakan "Majlis Makan Roti" di Taman Rekreasi Setia Indah,
Johor Bahru Johor untuk menyuarakan pendapat rakyat yang membantah pembinaan bangunan
warisan 100 tingkat.Dalam majlis ringkas ini ini roti tanpa jenama telah disusun menjadi sebuah
"bangunan roti" yang menyerupai bagunan warisan di mana semua yang hadir memakan roti
berkenaan tanpa air. Menurut Chen Kan Eng, Ketua Pemuda Dapsy, majlis makan roti ini
menandakan pembinaan bangunan warisan ini membazir dan rakyat menangung kos pembaziran

December 17, 2010 - Malaysia 3rd Chocolate Fair 2010 an event dedicated to chocolate lovers
and chocoholics. This fair aimed to gather Malaysian chocolate fans and chocolate makers
besides helping local chocolate makers to promote their products. The event displayed both
local and imported chocolates from a different countries with a wide selections of chocolate
flavors. The event held at Expo @ Danga City Mall from 17th to 19th December 2010 and

This year 2nd. Iskandar Malaysia World Festival of Scrabble beginning Dec.1 , 2010 saw more
than 200 scrabble players including world top players from some 30 countries came to Johor
Bahru, Johor to compete. The 9 days world event was hosted by the State and supported by the

December 4th, 2010 - 27 Ngos from Johor Bahru took part in a Human Values Expo recently
organized by Sathya Sai Council Malaysia, Johor. The aim of the expo is to inspire others by
sharing their initiatives for society based on the theme of Love All Serve All by indirectly
promote the practice of Human Values such as Truth, Right Conduct, Peace, Love and Non-
Violence through inspirational value based activities. Among the participated Ngos are Human
Touch Animal Welfare Society, Soka Gakkai International, Palliative Care Association of JB,
Orang Asal "Mari Kita Membaca" volunteers and others.The Expo consists of exhibits of
various good work carried out by Ngos and private organizations which has benefited the
community at large such as service activities to the poor and needy, educational aids, projects in
aid of wommen and children, projects to protect environment, promotes human values and

The 25th Anniversary Tai Chi Show was held in Dewan Serbaguna Taman Johor Jaya. Johor
Bahru, Johor on the 28th November, 2010. The Tai Chi show was organized by the Johor Bahru
branch of Persatuan Tai Chi Chuan Johor headed by PC Low and was jointly officiated by the
Vice Chairman of the National Wushu Association of Malaysia,Chen He Jin and the ADUN of
Johor Jaya, YB Tan Cher Puk. The show was attended by some 1,000 invited guests who have
also donated generously to the Persatuan Tai Chi Chuan Johor, Johor branch building

The rubbish collection at Jln Petri Johor Bahru has become inconsistent recently lead to huge
amount of rubbish piled up along the roads. The residents complains that their numerous calls to
Southern Waste Management could not solve the problem. When contacted, SWM replied that
the garbage trucks under repair and promise to clear the rubbish by this evening. However,
according to Mr.Deva , a resident , this is regular promise and excuse given whenever they call

Sempena hari Malaysia baru-baru ini, Pejabat Pelajaran Johor Bahru bersama Pejabat Parlimen
Johor Bahru dan ngo daripada Johor Bahru telah menganjurkan pertandingan menulis esei
dalam bahasa Melayu dan Inggeris berdasarkan lima nilai murni iaitu tanpa kekerasaan,
kebenaran, cinta,keamanan dan perlakuan yang baik. Pertandingan ini melibatkan semua pelajar
tingkatan empat daripada 44 buah sekolah di seluruh daerah Johor Bahru dan hari penyampaian

November 6, 2010 -- Tampin/Pulau Sebang Railway Station is situated about 1 km from Tampin
town, Negeri Sembilan and serves as the meeting point of west Malaysia's eastern and western
railway lines. The station had undergone numerous changes since British time and today the
station is on another massive transformation, where a complete new structure with double track
is being built. While I was back to my home town last Friday (5th Nov 2010), I got an
opportunity to shoot video of the new upcoming building. Brief background of the project:On
January 7, 2008 an Indian company, IRCON won the USD1 billion (MYR 3.45 billion)
contracts to build a double railway track from Seremban to Gemas. The date of completion for
the new Tampin/Pulau Sebang Railway station is not stated on the construction sign board.
However the whole project (Seremban to Gemas) is scheduled to be completed in 2012. Video

Ah Long sticker can be found all over Taman Molek and it's a common problem all over the
Johor state. You can find it everywhere, lamp post, TNB substation, road signage and many
more places you least imagine. Even though it's illegal to give out loans -- the Ah Long's has
been menacing the town with their advertisement which is done in a bad taste. Their stickers
which are hard to remove leave unpleasant stains upon removal. It has become a great nuisance
for the public. Despite of a death treat received by residents of Taman Molek from some 'Ah

3rd October 2010, The Zon Johor Bahru - Befrienders JB organized its very first Indoor
Treasure Hunt with theme of Hunt for Health and 4th Annual Reaching - Out together with fund
raising event. The hunt is organized in conjunction with World Mental Health Day (10th
October 2010) which flagged off by honored YB Mok Chek Hou, Adun Stulang and participated
by many Ngos from around Johor Bahru. YB Mok Chek Hou congratulates Befrienders for the
love and concern being showered to the community particularly to those who are in despair and
distress. Befrienders briefly is a non-profit and non-governmental organization that gives an
emotional support to people who are in misery, loneliness, despair and have tendency to suicide.
According to the president of Befrienders JB Esther Teo, approximately 1 million people kill
themselves every year and many would not if only they had someone to talk to and by talking to

An accident involving 2 cars occurred at the T junction outside of Precinct 12, Setia Indah Johor
Bahru on 24th of September. 2 residents made a u-turn from the opposite sites collided. No one
was injured but both vehicles were badly damaged. The accident led to a huge traffic jam for an
hour and there was a heated argument between the victims. According to one witness many
accidents had happened before at the same spot. Some residents said that the accident happened
because of no proper sign board erected or no traffic light to prevent a dangerous u-turn. The
relevant authorities and developers should look into this matter before another mishap. Video by

6 November 2010 - Kelab Belia Aktif Dan Berfaedah (KAFF) telah menganjurkan satu program
untuk golongan belia yang diberi nama Daerah Tanpa Tie yang berlangsung di belakang
bangunan Kluang Parade, Kluang, Johor. Program yang bermula jam 3 petang dan berakhir
hingga tengah malam ini dipenuhi dengan berbagai aktiviti seperti pameran Vespa, klinik baju
rakyat, persembahan muzik oleh anak tempatan dan juga Nik bin Jidan, pertunjukan permainan

Students taking school buses to SM Taman Molek risk their lives everyday as they cross the
haphazard road to get to school. Irresponsible buses indiscriminatedly drop them wherever they
find convenient. These students then criss-cross cars, buses and motorcycles to get to the
entrance.There has been no solution forth coming despite refering this matter to the school
through the Parents Teachers Association. Relevant authorities must be proactive in solving the
