Brixton Windmill reopens 2 May

OU are invited by the Friends of Windmill Gardens and Lambeth
Council to celebrate the restoration of Brixton Windmill on
Monday 2 May 2011, 2pm to 4.30pm.
Built in1816 the Grade II* Brixton Windmill is the only surviving
windmill in inner London. Come and visit this hidden treasure
and enjoy a fun-packed afternoon in the park.

Afternoon programme:
2pm May Day Parade from Windrush Square to
Windmill Gardens.
3pm Welcome to our Windmill with a performance by the
Brixton Windmill Theatre Company.
3.15pm Chuka Umunna MP, Ward Councillors and
guest celebrity will be joining us to open the mill.
3.45pm and 4.00pm Guided tours of the newly restored mill.
