Intro: This report is about the anime called ‘Bleach’ an anime is a tv serie which is especially made for teenagers and is made in Japan. Bleach is about the life of Kurosaki Ichigo. Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old teenager with only one big difference: He can see ghosts/spirits. Rukia Kuchiki, a Shinigami (Soul Reaper) is out on a mission to find an evil spirit called a Hollow. The Hollow's target is Ichigo ( Hollows eat humans in the human world to gain strength and for the fun ) . Rukia and Ichigo find each other for the first time. Ichigo's family gets in danger by the Hollow/Evil Spirit and the only way to stop it was for Rukia who was defeated, to give her Shinigami powers to Ichigo who had a strong spiritual force. Then the boy Ichigo gets Soul Reaper powers and defeats the Hollow, after this more enemies/allies will be introduced and it begins for real when they get to Soul Society ( Where the shinigami’s live ). This anime consists of action, comedy and adventure. Shinigami’s are Human Souls with duties and special powers. They use swords to attack their enemies and their swords have spirits in them. These spirits are connected with the Shinigami’s in a special way, so that they can talk and give each other power. These swords are called Zanpaktou and these swords have 2 different powers, they are called first Shikai and the second Bankai.

Kurosaki, Ichigo – Main Character
Kuchiki, Rukia – Second Main Character Kurosaki Family – Consists of Isshin (Father), Karin (Younger Sister), Yuzu (Youngest Sister) Sado, Yasutora – Ichigo’s large muscular friend though very kind. Inoue, Orihime – Classmate of Ichigo who has a secret crush on him. Ishida, Uryu – A spiritual human much like Ichigo. He is the last of the Quincy’s (Bowman race). Introduction to the Gotei 13: The Gotei 13 is the name given to the 13 Groups of the Shinigami in Soul Society. Anyone named as a Shinigami is put into 1 of the 13 Divisions, they are a Captain or Vice-Captain, hold a Seat, or are just a member, they are still an important part of the Division. Each Division of the Gotei 13 has a Captain and a Vice Captain, they are generally the strongest of the whole Division. To become a Captain, a Shinigami must first have achived Ban-Kai( Special Power ). The Captain and Vice Captain usually are connected in a friendship bond. To be a vice-captain of a division/group you need to be half as strong as the captain and have the 1st power called Shikai. A Shinigami cannot be seen in the human world by humans, they leave Soul Society when they are going on missions to balance the Spirits in the World. Those that can see Ghosts can not see Shinigami, but there are exceptions and it is a very rare gift. Each Shinigami wears black robes with white trimming and a white cloth belt. On special occassions they wear a arm band to show their rank in their Division. The Captain of a Division wears a White Robe with the Number of their Division in black on the back.

Shinigami’s are people who live in Soul Society, a different dimension from the real world where people go when they die. Shinigami’s are therefor people who actually died on the real world and only some can become a shinigami and get special powers when they do. Then they are chosen to protect the Soul Society world and the world of the living. However they don’t remember their previous life from the real world. They have the power to go to the living world by a dimension gate which is called ‘Senkai’. Only shinigami can do this other people who died and live in Soul Society can not.

In bleach there are different types of enemies, you have the Hollows for example. Hollows are a race of creatures who are born from human souls when people die and for some reason like Hatred and despair do not cross over to Soul Society when they die, when they stay too long in the human world they will turn into a hollow. They are corrupt spirits with supernatural powers that eat the souls of both living and deceased Humans. Hollows settle in Hueco Mundo, but can cross over to the Human World and Soul Society. Hueco Mundo is another dimension world just like Soul Society and the real world but much darker, it’s the place where only Hollows live. Some Hollows eat other hollows to gain power, but most of them only eat Humans or Shinigami’s.

The Bounto’s.
Another far more dangerous enemy is called the Bounto, these are a group of humans with special abilities. These Bounto’s where created in Soul Society in the Development and Research building and by accident gained extraordinary powers and eternal live. These Bounto’s escaped to the real world and have been living on human souls like vampire’s for almost four hundred years. Each of them has a different weapon which can be used in combat like an; Axe,Sword, Etc but their main power is that these swords can turn into a doll creature with special powers to eliminate their enemies. In the episode’s the shinigami’s finally noticed them because they had eaten too much humans lately.
The corrupt Shinigami’s.
These three captains of Soul Society have betrayed Soul Society in order to gain more power and rule over everything. Their leader is the one in the
middle and is called Sōsuke Aizen. He is the brain of the
whole operation. Their goal is to overthrow the king of Soul Society, when that was found out by the other shinigami they escaped to Hueco Mundo(Place of hollow) and recruited hollows to join their team and made them stronger. They turned the hollows into arrancars: Half human half hollow. When they finished they came back to soul society for the fight. Opinion:
My opinion is that it is a great show for teenagers, I don’t know if it will
be fun for older people to watch as well because it contains a lot of fantasy and most of the older people like reality tv series. Anyway I think it’s really interesting to watch because it has a really good story line, they explain everything very carefully so that you know what it is all about and the emotions of the characters are easy to take over. When you watch one episode you will surely want to watch the second and the third one as well because they make it really interesting by making the episode end in a battle or in the middle of a story. Also the quality of how the anime looks is really fascinating it is one of the most beautiful anime series there is, you can see everything very clear and in 2 or 3D.
