This document provides a formula for calculating the weight of cattle based on measurements of their girth and length. The formula is (Girth x Girth x Length) / 300) + .5 for weight in pounds or (Girth x Girth x Length) / 10797) + .5 for weight in kilograms. Girth is measured around the body behind the front legs and length is measured from the pinbone to the shoulder.

Weight calculation of cattle
(Girth(in) * Girth(in) * Length(in) ) / 300) + .5 = weight in lbs (Girth(cm) * Girth(cm) * Length(cm) ) / 10797) + .5 = weight in kg Girth is the circumference of the ox's body 4" behind its front legs. Length is the length of the ox's body as measured in a straight line from the pinbone to the point of shoulder.
