Angles
For any pair of parallel lines 1 and 2, that are both intersected by a third line, such as line 3 in the diagrams below: Alternate interior angles (Z) Angle C and angle B are called alternate interior angles. They are equal.
Alternate exterior angles Angle A and angle C are called alternate exterior angles. They are equal.
Corresponding angles (F) Angle B and angle D are called corresponding angles. They are equal.
Co-interior angles (U) Angle B and C are called co-interior angles. Their sum equals to 180.

Quadrilaterals
The sum of the angles of a quadrilateral is 360 Arrow marks on the sides show that the sides are parallel. Arc is a portion of the circumference of a circle Sector is the region bounded by two radii of the circle and their intercepted arc. Segment is the region bounded by a chord and an arc lying between the chord's endpoints. Chord is a line segment whose endpoints lie on the circle. Diameter (d) is a line segment that passes through the centre of the circle. Diameter is also the distance across a circle through its center. (longest possible chord) Radius (r) is a line segment whose endpoints are the center of the circle and a point on the circle. Radius is also the distance from the centre to the circle's boundary and equals half the length of the diameter. Secant is a line that intersects a circle in two points. Tangent is a line that intersects the circle in exactly one point, called the point of tangent.
