Dear Students: We hope you are all adjusting to this new school year. One area to focus on is your communication skills. What ideas do you want to get across? How will you organize your thoughts? How can you use your voice effectively so that it gets heard? These are a few questions for you to ponder. Becoming better at clearly communicating with friends and teachers can help you succeed. Have you heard of all the after-school activities and sports offered at ISM? There are too many to list here so visit the Middle School blog at ms.ism-online.org, click on the MS Activities link in the sidebar, and view the Activities booklet. Also, see the bulletin for information on when and where you can participate and compete, or speak with a coach to see if you can get involved. Activities begin on Wednesday, August 22make sure to get involved! Remember, a short week lies ahead. There are no classes on Monday and Tuesday. We'll see you back here at ISM on Wednesday for our regular schedule. Sincerely, Mr. Gillespie and Ms. Sayson
The Middle School Advanced Band performed The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly superbly for the Open House last Tuesday. Great job Mr. Howrey and student musicians for putting together the musical performance at such an early time of the school year!
