Introduction of New Teachers (Sir Ricky and Ms. Tolen) B. Follow up of 70% Class Standing Deadline is on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 especially those who made the End term exam. The final value should be four decimal places. C. Feedback about the new TOS (effects in doing the TQ) 1. Implementation is abrupt (2nd term) 2. There are those who passed the TOS earlier. 3. Theres no time to discuss the new TOS because of the Academic Week. 4. Comments and Suggestions: a. Changes should be at the start of SY. (Ms. Africa) b. Students are not used to some format of the problems. c. Adjustments are easier to teachers but not to students d. Parents will still talk to the teachers regarding the type of Test questions. e. Changes are not clear. (Ms. Linda) f. The information is not properly disseminated. g. Seminars should be given regarding this matter. h. There should be familiarity to TQ. i. It was given just the same as last year, students were given plus so they will pass. j. Validity is at risk. (in terms of IRT) (Ms. Africa) k. Changes were abrupt. l. Item analysis was good but was disregarded. m. Followed the UBD but disregarded also. n. Change the implementation. o. The format of the module before was better. *Tracking of the lesson is clear. *Cover sheet should be passed before the week but its okay with the Coordinator if not followed. p. Continuity of the lesson is not clear. q. During the in-service training, include the changes especially in instruction.

Giving of Make up Tests This should be done after class. The student is ready. Give another set of test just in case the papers were returned already. 4. Cheating - Dont give the test paper unless the partners are done. 5. Homework Load NO Friday HW 6. Communication with partner teachers Check the email always. E. Math and Science Celebration 1. Bulletin Board Assignment (1 per level) Grade 4 = Ronnie Grade 5 = Ms. Mela and Ms. Salyn Grade 6 = Mr. Harold Grade 7 = Mr. Ricky and Ms. Lulu Lower Grades = one per level by partners 2. Department - sponsored Activity (to be discussed with partners) DSA January 13, 2012 = UG January 24 & 31, 2012 = Classroom based. No agramathic Lower Grades = Last Tuesday of the Month Prep, Grade1, 2 & 3 (Buy and Sell) January 31, 2012 = ALE Email the plans before the break. 3. Exhibit This will be done during the last week of January. Projects will be showcased. F. Other Matters: 1. The schools instruction: In terms of content (advance) but in terms of Mastery (low) as compared to Singapore. Ex. Math symbols 2. Basic concepts are suffering especially mastery. 3. Students dont know how to analyze problems. (Mr. Ricky) 4. Measurement is not taught anymore. 5. Articulation should be practiced. 6. Grade 7 students are not aware of simple formulas (basic shapes). 7. TQ should be included in the module.
