Note 1) Dimensional standards shall be in accordance with ASME B16.5 (Flanges), ASME B16.9 (Buttweld fittings), ASME B16.11 (Forged steel fittings), and ASME B16.10 (Valves) 2) Reducing fitting thickness shall match heavier pipewall thickness 3) Socket weld ball valves must be in the open position when welded into piping to prevent damage to seating. 4) Valves are limited for seat and seal materials. For services expected to exceed 250F, valve seat and seal materials shall be checked for suitability and valve type designations modified as required prior to purchase. 5) Threaded fittings must be used only for instrument connections (pressure and temperature) in non vibrating service and must be seal welded. Instrument connections shall be screwed beyond the first block valve off of process pipping. 6) All pipe welds thicker than 3/4" shall be stress relieved in accordance with applicable welding procedure. 7) Pipe shall be saw (straight seam) with 100% of X-RAY or SMLS. 8) All flanges and flanged ends shall have smooth finish facings groove 63 AARH max. 9) Refer to standard specification PCSE-100-ET-C-001 for design and fabrication requirements and PCSE-100-ET-C-026 to 029 for general requirements for piping materials supply 10) Stud bolts threaded entire lenght with two hexagonal semi-finished heavy nuts. 11) Not in use. 12) All gaskets, seals, seats and packing materials shall not contain any asbestos related materials. 13) Minimum design temperature for soft seat -20F 14) Socketweld piping is required in this service below 2". Threaded piping is only permited where socketweld devices are not available. Where threaded piping is required (limited to 1 1/2" npt maximum), the following shall apply a) Pipe wall thickness shall be schedule XXS b) Fittings ratings shall match those specified for socket weld fittings. 15) Used for vents and drains only. 16) Pipe and fittings thicker than 1/2" may require impact test when minimum design metal temperature is below 95F (See ASME B31.3, paragraph 323.2.2). Impact tests shall be according to ASME B31.3 paragraph 323.3. 17) Coating of piping material (including, pipe, fittings, valves & stud bolts and nuts) shall be in accordance with the requirements of Standart Specification No. PCSE-100-ET-X-002; Selection and Application of Protective Coatings.
