Shielded Metal Arc Welding Electrode for Nickel and Nickel Alloy
Specification Brand Name JIS NITTETSU NI 141 AC AWS Inconel type electrode with a Ni core wire for AC welding of nickels, nickel clad steel, cupronickels and nickels to carbon steel. Weld metal shows excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance to alkali such as sodium hydroxide. YAWATA WELD B is an Inconel type electrode which is a modified version of INCO-WELD A, by The International Nickel Company, Inc., for AC use. Weld metal shows excellent resistance to heat, corrosion and oxidization as well as remarkable toughness at extremely low temperatures. In the welding of dissimilar metals, carbon migration and embrittlement are lower than stainless steel electrodes and coefficient of heat expansion is between those of carbon steel and austenitic stainless steel. YAWATA WELD 182 is an Inconel type electrode of which weld metal has the same properties as that of INCONEL Welding Electrode 182. It is suitable for welding and surfacing extremely thick plates for nuclear reactor vessels since a slightly high titanium content in weld metal checks the occurrence of blowholes. For the weldment to be used at high temperatures more than 1,000F(538C), YAWATA WELD B is recommended because it assures higher strength at high temperatures than YAWATA WELD 182. Inconel type electrode for AC welding of Inconel, Inconel to stainless steel, Inconel to low alloy steel and Incoloy for nuclear reactor vessels. Weld metal shows excellent resistance to heat, oxidation and corrosion. NITTETSU NI 9 is an electrode using a pure Ni core wire with low electric resistance for 9%Ni steel and assures high welding efficiency since high current is applicable. Mechanical properties of weld metal meet the specifications of API and NV. NITTETSU WELD 42 is an Inconel type electrode which assures more than 410MPa of 0.2% proof stress. This remarkable property permits higher stress design in welding 9%Ni steel than as required by ASME. API and NV specification. High strength Inconel type electrode for DC welding of high Ni alloys such as Inconel 625 and dissimilar metals of various alloys. Weldability is good, bead appearance is beautiful and slag is easy to remove. Weld metal shows high resistance to heat, oxidation and corrosion as well as remarkably high strength. High strength Inconel type electrode for AC welding of high Ni alloys such as Inconel 625 and dissimilar metals of various alloys. Weld metal shows high resistance to heat, oxidation and corrosion as well as remarkably high strength. Inconel type electrode for welding 9%Ni steel assuring extremely high strength and toughness. Weld metal shows strength close to 9%Ni more than 440MPa 0.2% proof stress and more than 54J vE-196. Welding of Nickel and copper alloy Application and Characteristics
