The OMR concept was known to rest of them by western Ontario farmers. It was the most popular way by which people (almost 52%) came to know about it in all the regions except central where maximum people (36%) knew about it through publications. Other publications were also the means of reaching out to the farmers which constituted of 16%. Other means like newspapers, word-of-mouth and radio were not as effective to reach out to the audience.
95% of the applicable samples were somewhat familiar with OMR concept, so the awareness has to be increased in order to successfully implement this idea on a large scale as planned. This can be done by enforcing the publications and spreading the word among the farmers as they are the most effective means to reach out to the rest. Majority of the times (80%) it is the custom work customers who call you for work. This is how one contacts for custom work. This is the case in this old system as the farmer will have to make many calls for receiving the service. But with OMR this problem will be solved as the farmers will just have to contact one interface to get the best offer. The current tendency of the farmers is to have the work done by the same person rather than shopping around for other options. This means they are more convenience seeking in this respect. OMR would further help them in this. Level of formality with current arrangements
