A. Two year full time comprehensive course providing opportunity to work both at health facilities and in a community set-up. Eligibility Criteria 1. All candidates, who have passed final year, Graduate Health Sciences examination and completed /completing internship training by 31st July, 2013 from a recognized institute included in the respective Council Acts or a graduate in life sciences with a fulltime postgraduate masters degree in streams falling under the respective councils. Graduates of Health Sciences MBBS/ BAMS/ BHMS/B Pharm/BSc Nursing/BPTh MSc Nutrition/Biochemistry/Health Science Preference would be given to candidates with experience in the area of Public Health/Nutrition Medical officers in service will be considered who are granted permission through proper channel. Last date of submission of application forms is 15th September, 2013 Seats limited to 30 students. Course fee-Rs.80,000/-per year Comprehensive coverage of the science and application of Public Health Nutrition. Lectures by expert faculty members in maternal and child nutrition, public health and clinical specialties like Pediatrics, Medicine and Gynecology. Provides insight to students to understand holistic approach to Public Health Nutrition. Course structure emphasizes knowledge and skills in Public Health Nutrition to work in challenging environment that includes health facilities, nutrition centers and deprived communities through Problem based learning, clinical case studies, hospital visits, community visits, seminars and discussions. Project Work based on the application of the science of Public Health Nutrition. Periodic Assessment based on credit system. Successful candidates will be awarded a degree in Master in Public Health (MPH) in Public Health Nutrition from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
