Course Fee to be paid by the foreign students is 4,000 US $ in total for four semesters inclusive of local trip involved in the programme.

-6GENERAL INFORMATION i) ii) Scheduled courses will be conducted subject to sufficient number of trainees being available. Duration of a course will be as indicated against it in the schedule of courses. But the duration shown against individual modules in the syllabi is liable to change depending on various factors. If the date of commencement of a course falls on a holiday, it will start on the next working day. Eligibility Criteria for admission to different courses are relaxable at the discretion of the Additional Surveyor General, IISM. Special / Customized courses shall be conducted in order to fulfill specific requirements of user organizations provided at least 6 trainees are sponsored for a particular course. Nomination / Application for admission to a course should reach the Additional Surveyor General, IIS&M normally 60 days before the scheduled date of commencement of the Course. Trainees are advised to report in the Institute only on receiving confirmation about the allotment of seat. Tuition Fee has to be paid in advance by Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Establishment & Accounts Officer, Indian Institute of Surveying & Mapping, Survey of India on Hyderabad Branch of any nationalized bank, preferably Union Bank of India. If the tuition fee is not paid in advance or simultaneously with joining, the trainee will not be admitted. Requirement of Hostel Accommodation needs to be intimated to the Additional Surveyor General, IIS&M (Attention : Hostel Warden), sufficiently in advance through separate letter. Boarding and Lodging expenses for a trainee will be approximately Rs. 3,500/- per month, which is in addition to the tuition fee. Non-departmental / private candidates also can be admitted to a course subject to availability of seats, fulfilling the eligibility criteria and payment of tuition fee fixed from time to time. Interested candidates should apply on the prescribed proforma given in this book. Each trainee reporting for Courses involving field training outside the IIS&M Campus should arrange for himself camp cots and bedding for use in the Camp which is normally established about 40 km away from Hyderabad. Similarly, the service of a cook will be available to the trainees, in the Camp; but necessary utensils, cookware and other provisions are to be arranged by the trainees themselves. A foreign national seeking admission to a course in IIS&M needs to be sponsored by the Government of his country or has to route his application through the Indian mission in his country.
