    Foster Wheeler supplies many varieties of doors (observation, access, aspirator, etc.) for all temperatures and gas pressures, as well as their tube bends (kick-out tubes), refractory plugs, and wall boxes. Our quick opening access doors can be installed on boilers supplied by any manufacturer. This access door is offered in two standard sizes - 18W x 18H and 18W x 36H (shown). A 10 inch diameter hand wheel accomplishes the quick release action. The 18 inch H door uses one hand wheel and the 36 inch H door uses two wheels. The solid cast iron door eliminates distortion due to installation, operation or heat. The davit type hinge assembly provides easy operation and permits optimum movement of the door to maximize opening clearance. The multiple wire handles and the davit hinge make these doors easily opened by one person. The doublesize door is large enough to t a scaffold through, thus saving your maintenance crew precious time when executing a quick outage. Additionally, these double-size doors are large enough for a stretcher to be passed through should an unforeseen emergency arise. The installing contractor can provide the refractory door liner or we can provide a door plug for eld installation on the door. The standard door plug is a vacuum-formed plug with a temperature rating of 2800F. The erosion resistant door plug has a shell cast from a 3000F abrasion resistant castable refractory over a ceramic ber core. Both the standard door plug and the erosion resistant door plug are supplied with all attachment hardware to facilitate the installation of the plug on the door.
