About Radiator Heating

Steam or hot water radiators remain the most efficient heating
systems available. The unmatched heat-reflecting characteristics
of cast iron make them the best method of achieving an even,
comfortable balance of controlled warmth. To replace radiators
with baseboard or other heating systems is invariably expensive
and results in loss of heat efficiency and comfort.
Conceal unsightly, naked radiators and direct heat flow
from steam or hot water radiators efficiently and safely!
ARSCO enclosures also provide protection from direct contact
with hot radiators. Over the years, we have made custom
enclosures for virtually every configuration, and know how
to make the best enclosure for your needs!

Lengths up to 38 and Heights to 45

ARSCO radiator covers are custom-made for easy installation and

fit. We can accommodate units of any size. For continuous runs,
unit covers over 117 in length are shipped in equal length
multiple sections.

Why Use Radiator Enclosures?

The heating characteristics of cast iron make radiators the best
way to achieve an even, comfortable balance of controlled
warmth. An ARSCO enclosure improves heat flow-patterns by
projecting warm air directly into the comfort zone of a room
while minimizing ceiling airflow. An ARSCO enclosure directs
cold air back to the radiator for rewarming in a channel pattern
that provides maximum comfort and heating economy. Our
radiator covers also save fuel by preventing heat from
being absorbed by outside walls. They help protect drapes,
walls and ceilings from airborne dust and are easily cleaned.

homeowners, to provide custom steel cabinets and shelving
systems, too. We have a long, successful history of working with
architects, contractors and remodelers, and companies who
choose ARSCO to private-brand their products.

Powder Coating for Exceptional

Appearance and Durability
Only ARSCO enclosures offer the superior good looks, and
long life of a powder coated finish! Powder coating is a highperformance coating process used by BMW, Daimler Chrysler
and Volvo, and appliance makers, including Kitchen Aid, GE,
and Jenn-Air. Powder coating improves the appearance and
service life of radiator enclosures by making them durable, and
resistant to scratching, staining and fading from the sun.
Finish preparation includes 3-stage wash process employing
paint LOK 510 iron phosphate/rust inhibitor primer. Ultradurable powder coat finish baked on at 400F and available in
6 standard colors. Refer to chart on back of brochure; custom
colors available.

Materials and Finishes

Furniture quality cold rolled steel used throughout; tops are
18 gauge, ends and back panels 22 gauge; front panels 22
gauge perforated (standard pattern Grecian) reinforcing channels
22 gauge. Heavier construction available upon request.

Q. Does a cast-iron radiator system have
to be removed to install central air?

Q. Do radiator enclosures require much space?

A. No todays central air systems allow you to

keep the existing iron radiators.

Q. Why shouldnt radiator enclosures be wood?

Q. Do radiator enclosures cause heat loss?

A. No. Radiator enclosures deliver more heat
energy. All of the heat from the radiator remains in
the room, and due to the enclosures design, the
heat is projected into the comfort zone, where its
needed. Heat is also not absorbed by outside walls,
where its wasted.

A. ARSCO radiator enclosures take up 1 on each side.

A. Wood retains heat. It also splits and warps when
exposed to constant heat. Wooden frames and
supports also take up more space than our radiator
enclosures.
Q. Why shouldnt we just paint the radiators?
