    INSTALLATION Service New Plants Supervision


    For new installations the presence of an experienced DtEC Installation supervisor is essential. This improves the liaison between the column fabricator, the design and supply of new trays and the installation crew thus ensuring a smooth and efficient installation process, minimising any waiting time. Any unforeseen eventualities can be quickly taken care of together with any final modifications. We will even include them on the as built drawings.

    Alternatively for any equipment designed and manufactured by us (trays, internals and packing etc.) we can offer a full installation service. The installation of trays can be either at the vessel fabricators shop with the column(s) in the horizontal or at the final site with the column(s) in the vertical position.

    Revamps & PVI Turnarounds


    For large revamps and maintenance PVI Turnarounds we are qualified to carry out the work in conjunction with our Alliance Partner. This means that strip out and re-tray, column modifications and re-installation of the trays together with any emergency supply are all carried out smoothly and effectively by one combined operation.

    SHUTDOWN PLANNING & SPARES Service


    For safety reasons all distillation columns which are at the heart of any refinery, petrochemical, chemical or gas plant have to be shutdown on a regular basis. At DtEC we have the answer to reduce your Pressure Vessel Inspection (PVI) Turnaround maintenance costs. Using our Shutdown Planning & Spares (SPS) Service in conjunction with our meticulous planning and unrivalled knowledge of the insides of columns will ensure that your statutory PVI turnarounds are faster and safer with the minimum of downtime.

    Planning
    Prior to your shutdown we offer a free service to determine the spares required for each individual column. Detailed reports can be produced using our proven in-house Estimating & CAD programs. The only information required is Column Diameter Tray Type No. of Trays and No. of Passes Materials of Construction CNC Programming

    Alternatively the columns can be enrolled from details taken from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) drawings. Once this information has been recorded in our SPS Service column data-base, for subsequent future shutdowns you only have to give the reference and column tag numbers to obtain a detailed recommended list of spares.

    Tray Spares
    A detailed list of the tray spares will usually comprise: Bolting (Setscrews and Nuts) Hardware (Clamps and Washers) Tray Valves For standard material grades, the purchase can be on a Sale or Return basis, DtEC will either provide a trailer or a locker equipped with the required spares at agreed prices. Alternatively we can provide experienced personnel to supervise the trailer and control the issue of materials, as and when required by the customer.     Bolting (setscrews and nuts) are normally bagged and labelled with the column tag number, tray numbers and the reference drawing number if applicable. Larger items such as tray clamps or valves can be provided in plastic buckets for ease of handling during the installation.

    OEM Inter-Changeability
    The spares supplied by DtEC will be completely inter-changeable with the existing equipment irrespective of the original equipment manufacturer. Hence our SPS Service is a cost effective means of ensuring that spares are readily available and purchased at very competitive prices.

    Replacement Trays
    Our SPS service will also identify any replacement trays that are required and the associated delivery and cost implications. Replacement trays can be purchased prior to the shutdown or alternatively on an Emergency Purchase Order basis during the shutdown.
