    Dear Faujian Brother


    Assalamualaikum. Hope this letter will find you and your family in best health. I never received any letter from my college Principal other than the testimonial and of course a letter of appreciation after my board examination as I could secure a position in the combined merit list. Today, I am honored to write few words sharing my feelings with my Faujian brothers. I am sure this letter will definitely remind you about your bondage with our beloved alma mater and response to the call of your Faujian Principal. Dear brother, you may know by now that your college is headed by a Faujian. I profoundly remember the name of our founder Principal Colonel Maurice Brown who started the journey in the year 1958. After 55 years, as the 27th Principal of the college, a Faujian blood is leading the institute. I am thankful to the Army authority for selecting me as the first ever Faujian Principal of our college. Dear brother, the fact remains that the college has grown age, almost 55 years now and all the infrastructures need huge repair and renovation. You will be happy to know that at present a 3rd generation Faujian is undergoing studies, it is a matter of pride for the institution. Since my joining for over two months, I took little time to assess the requirement. In the mean time I met with the respected Chief of Army Staff, a true Faujian, who gave me necessary guidelines in regards to all matters of the college prioritizing the jobs. He also emphasized the quality improvement of the cadets and infrastructure developments. Inshallah, with all of your support I can assure you that the young Faujians will be grooming up well. Besides, the infrastructure development certainly needs your assistance. With the yearly budget of our college we can continue with regular maintenance but major repair and renovation needs extra financial support. As I walk through the streets and installations of our college I continuously keep noting the items needs immediate repair/ renovations. For instance, we need to renovate the canteen, functioning the died down gymnasium, renovating the TV/ Reading and Recreation rooms of all houses, the museum, barber shop, four toilets of the academic blocks, both the lecture galleries, replacing a good number of cupboards, cadets bed, purchasing new books for the library, installing new sound and lighting system for the auditorium, purchasing few computers for the

    computer lab, renovating the swimming pool (our pride and the only pool available amongst all cadet colleges) including installing the Chlorination plant in it, preparing a conference room in the academic block, fixing a main gate at the entrance, and so on. Dear Faujian brother, I am sure, you all agree with me that what we are today is due to our right groom up as Faujian. FCC is like our parents, FCC has taught us everything as we were just kids for six (6) long years, and we have so many brothers, almost over 2,700 in number, who all are well established in different parts of the society. Now that our alma mater has grown age, it's our turn to help our parents to move on, walking smoothly, it's our duty, it's our pride. Our next generation is our blood, bearers of our Faujian Flag, the legacy, the dynasty, the Faujian voice. I would urge upon to all my Faujian brothers to help the college with any financial support affordable on your part. It will also be appreciated if could also arrange any corporate contribution in the development works of the college. As per the guidelines of the respected Chief of Army Staff we have already opened a fund, namely "FAUJIAN FUND" in the Trust Bank Ltd (Account No. 0024-0210004441, SWIFT Code: TTBLBDDH024). Those are living abroad can also contribute directly using the SWIFT code. We are almost at the final stage of developing our own college website (www.fcc.army.mil.bd) in which you can see the updates of your contribution and work progress on regular basis. You can be sure that there will be full utilization of your contribution to the infrastructural development or renovation of all cadets' facilities. Our respected Chief of Army Staff has given his kind consent to me to seek his advices and guidelines as and when required in this regard. Dear Faujian brother, I have already assessed the financial matters. We can start on different projects on availability of your contribution in the mentioned Faujian Fund. Your little effort will be remembered by all the young Faujians - our next generation. Dear Faujian brother, please pray for me so that I can continue my job upto all of your satisfaction. I am quite aware about my responsibilities and all of your expectations, InshaAllah I wont disappoint you. Last but not least, please visit your Alma Mater whenever you are around Chittagong, we can at least take a cup of tea together at either Principal's Office or Residence - we hardly got chance to visit these two places when we were cadets. One more request, I dont have every old Faujians e-mail address, if possible if you kindly share with your batch mates, so that they can also be included in this noble process. I wish all the best to you and your family. Remain safe wherever you are. I shall be honored if I can come to any of your assistance. Allah Hafez.
