In 1965, The Dental Alumni Society of the University of Sydney, donated money to endow the prize for continuity. Donated by the Australian Society of Periodontology. Awarded annually for the best overall performance in BDent 3 Periodontics in Bachelor of Dentistry Year 3.

Historic terms and conditions: Established in 1983 by the offer of Mr and Mrs D. Barker to provide funds to establish an annual medal in the Faculty of Dentistry in memory of their son, Dr B.C.W. Barker. Dr Barker joined the staff of the University of Sydney as a lecturer in Operative Dentistry in 1960, was promoted to Senior Lecturer in Dental Anatomy in 1963 and to Associate Professor in Dental Anatomy in 1972. Awarded annually on the recommendation of the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry to the candidate for the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery who demonstrates greatest proficiency in Anatomy in the second year, provided that the candidates work is of sufficient merit. The prize shall be in the form of a medal.

Richard Belitho Bush Memorial Prize for Outstanding Performance in All Theoretical Components of B Dent4 Including Theory Assessments and Case Presentations
Est. in 1969 by a bequest of $2000 from dental surgeon, the late Richard Belitho Bush. It is awarded annually to a student for outstanding performance in all theoretical components of BDent 4 including Theory Assessments and Case Presentations.

Founded in 1953 by a bequest of 175 pounds from Percie Chater Charlton. The prize is awarded annually to a student in the fourth year of the course for the degree of Bachelor of Dental Surgery for proficiency in Pharmacology and Therapeutics. The prize is in the form of a certificate. (Until 2003 the prize was awarded for undergraduate Bachelor of Dentistry, Year 4 (Dent 4018), however, no further students were enrolled from 2004 onward in this course as the integrated Bachelor of Dentistry Graduate entry program replaced the undergraduate Bachelor of Dentistry degree which ceased in 2003. Goldsworthy, Director of the Institute of Dental Research, and Dr H.R. Sullivan, Assistant Director of the Institute, who both died in 1960.
