Abrielle Marie I. Janolo I-EAC Reflection Paper

Nowadays, we experienced different calamities, they said, its because of climate change happens in our environment. This 2013, we experience the strongest earthquake and typhoon especially in Visayan regions. When I heard the news about the Bohol and Cebu earthquake, I was very shocked and scared because many people died and no place to live and many establishments are broken. I thought it will be the last for this year and nothing will happen again but a week after, a new calamity came in our country and said to be the strongest typhoon we will experience. Yolanda typhoon was a very shocking news, I know that everyone was prepared for this but their preparation wasnt enough. A strong wind and a high flood came but have nothing to do. Thousands of people died, no more shelters where they can go, no foods to eat and water to drink, and no clothes to wear. Different thoughts, feelings and reaction came into my mind. Questions that need an answer, why is this happened? What are the mistakes of many people to experience this kind of calamity? Maybe we can only answer it by ourselves because we did what can hurt us. We are rich in trees and plants that can help us to prevent floods and other calamities but we do not protect, take care and give importance of it. And maybe it happened for us to know the importance of one person to another, to know the value of our environment and to have a unity on how to solve this situation. Pilipinos have a unique value especially when this situation happened wherein theyve lost everything. We are such a strong person that no one can stop us to continue our life whatever happens. Maybe we lost one important person in our lives but it will not be the reason for us to rise again and recover. Everything happen in Gods will. We do not know what will happen today and tomorrow. All we have to do is to have faith in God and believe that he will guide us in everything. Hope and faith are all we have, we must not waste our time in meaningless things. We must always prepared on whatever will happen again. Do things that is worthy before it happens again and by Gods grace we are all blessed.
