The relationship between a game, its rules and
what do you have to do about it (the title of thi
post) was famously stated by Albert Einstein. Here
we are preparing things and references for our
little exhibition in Schloss Solitude. To go through
the early videogames period is a total pleasure.
Atari Battlezone was best by then, and it is best
even now. More about Battlezone at: http://www.
facebook.com/media/set/
Play Battlezone online for free at Atari's site at:
http://www.atari.com/arcade/arcade/battle...
Watch a game on YouTube at: http://www.

You have to learn the rules of
the game. And then you have
to play better than anyone
else.

Perspective & Collage
When we were working for Schloss exhibition, we
found a lot of interesting references related to the
world of how you represent space using
perspective and axonometric visual tools. Giulio
Paolini did a lot of intereresting works where
collage mixes with perspective. Very simple, very
nice. More at: http://www.facebook.

Losers (Winner and)
Some people are famous because they win, some
others because they lose. Joe Frazier will remain
famous because of the match he lost to
Mohammed Al in Manila. Al was a better boxer, a
smarter person, a lot of things. But also losers
deserve respect, especially when they are as good
as Frazier. He died on the 7th November, and I
was a little bit sad. Here above, when he defeated
Al in the first of their three matches. Here you
can read the report about that match (the "Fight
of the Century" (from The Guardian, 9th March
1971): http://www.guardian.co.uk/.../joe-

payday."

Berg and Arup present this cute little printer,
doing all kind of nice things for you. Not sure it
will work, but all the proper ingredients are there.

helpful robot. More at: http://www.facebook.

Il Teatro Manzoni
I went to see the "Parasimpatico" exhibition. A
great project by Pipilotti RIst, supported by
Fondazione Trussardi and Massimiliano Gioni. I
always like Massimiliano's curatorial work and
choices, but this time I liked it more than usual.
Ms Rist is fantastic, the old cinema has been
totally transformed into a magic machine. Really
really nice. Not to mention that there was no
ticket to be paid and you could freely take
photographs. Thanxthanx. Too bad it is only for a
month. More about the space transformation by
Pipilotti Rist at: http://www.facebook.

Open My Glade (Flatten)
Ms Rist exhibition had a lot of fascinating parts.
The way she transformed the Manzoni theatre, the
installation in the foyer, and then of course, the
various movies on show. Too many things to make
a complete report: here some stills from her "Open
my glade (flatten)" movie: http://www.facebook.
