The makeup exam schedule is determined by the instructor and will need to be done within ONE week (5 work days) from the time that the exams were given. Normally it will be at 5pm-6pm on Friday of that test week in a room (TBA) of SCL. Students will need to check the class email for the makeup details. Students who miss the makeup without valid excuses will get zero on the exam.
The format, questions and difficulty-level of make-up exams are not guaranteed to be same as the normal exams, which are at the discretion of the instructors. Students are not allowed to choose the make-up dates, formats on their own.
Lab make-up issues, please contact Dr. Bowling (bowlisa@auburn.edu)

Excuses are only accepted for the exams. No excuses need for general lectures or any bonus credits. Cheating: All forms of academic dishonesty will be reported to the Academic Honesty Committee. Students may be required to sign an honor pledge on exams. The academic honesty code found in Chapter 1200 of the SGA code of laws (http://www.auburn.edu/tigercub/rules/code_of_laws.doc) should be considered an extension of this syllabus and should be read and upheld by all students. Contingency plans: If normal class activities are disrupted due to unavoidable situations such as instructor illness, any crisis situation, weather related situations or epidemic outbreak, the syllabus and course plans may be modified to allow completion of the course. If this occurs, a revised syllabus will be posted on Blackboard and will replace the original materials. You will be notified by class email should such revision of the syllabus occur. 3 Please read and follow the following steps for the masteringbiology and iclicker registrations.
A. Masteringbiology registration:
1. Go to: http://www.masteringbiology.com/ register as students. (You will need the access code for registration. You can get the code either when buy the Campbell biology bundle or buy it online separately. I suggest you to buy the bundle.)
2. Please use the course ID (MBZHONG32295) for registration. Notice this ID is ONLY for the lecture BIOL1020. You will have another different course ID for your lab BIOL1021. So, you will need to register both masteringbiology courses and complete different take-home assignments with different deadlines! For the lecture assignments, the deadline will be before we start each chapter.
3. Please use your correct and official "First name" and "Last name" for registration. Don't use middle name or nickname as the "First name" please!!
4. Please use your correct Auburn user ID as the "student ID" when registration in masteringbiology. For example, crs0001, abc0005, etc.
Notice that the student ID that you are using for masteringbiology is the first part of your auburn email address. e.g. for the student who has email address: abc0005@auburn.edu --- the effective student ID will be: abc0005.
Please DO NOT use your nigh-digit banner ID or whole email address for registration!
B. i-clicker registration:
1. Go to www.iclicker.com, click menu Register your remote type your OFFICIAL first name, last name, student ID, remote ID and image code click Register. Again, the correct student ID is the first part of your auburntiger email address before @, For example, crs0001, abc0005, etc. Please DO NOT use your nigh- digit banner ID or whole email address for registration. The remote ID is the 8-character code found on the back of your remote.
2. The iclicker can be used for both lecture and the lab. If you use the incorrect information during the registration, you will not be able to get the in-class quiz grades and will need to re-register your i-clicker.
3. You will need to test if your registration is correct by checking the grade of the 1 st
in-class quiz on Canvas grade book. And report me any errors through email. The deadline for the checking of iclicker registration will be August 29, 2014 (I will remind the class through class-emails). After the deadline, you will be responsible for any missing grades due to the incorrect iclicker registrations.
