Creativity (the arts and other experiences that involve creative thinking)
The extracurricular of Ecoarte will provide CAS hours for my development in
creative hours.
Action (Physical exertion contributing to a healthy lifestyle)
The Duke of Edinburgh will provide CAS hours for my development in action

Will any of the activities be new for you (one you have not done before)? If so, explain what
challenges you might face.
One of the after school activities I had not done in the past was Ecoarte, I believe that some of the
challenges I may face will be learning to use some of the new tools I have seen being used in Ecoarte.
Do you foresee yourself being in a leadership role in any of the activities? If so, explain in what way.
It may be possible that I could be in a leadership role in the Duke of Edinburgh due to having one
more year in experience compared to some of the new members. I also have seven years of
experience in Boy Scouts that have been vital in allowing me to take part in many of the trips in
Duke of Edinburgh.

communicate more with local wilderness guides.
What new skills do you plan to acquire while undertaking each activity?
New Skills or Increased Expertise
While undertaking these new activities, I plan to improve my Spanish to be able to
communicate with others more casually. I also plan to generally improve my
essay structure and testing speed to achieve a better grade in my next SAT test.
Will you be involved in initiating or planning any aspect of these activities? If yes, explain in what way.
In the Ecoarte activity, I will help my supervisor design a recyclable decoration that
can be used to regulate the water output to our new plants. I will also help my
supervisor for the Duke of Edinburgh to plan some of our future hiking trails.
Will you be working in collaboration with others? If yes, please explain.
In Ecoarte, I will be collaborating with other students to build and design products
that can be used to improve the environment with only recyclables. Our aim will be
to build a garden and use the products we built to sustain it.
During this activity will you encounter any issues of global importance? Please
Explain.
Yes, this activity will tackle the issue of waste and environmental destruction. In
Ecoarte we will help to improve the state of the environment, and when our products
are no longer useful we can simply recycle them.
