He worked for Thomas Edison improving dynamos and later developed AC motors which he sold the patents for to Westinghouse. Tesla made many contributions including developing the Tesla coil and researching wireless transmission and energy. He worked for many years in private laboratories experimenting and developing new inventions and theories on electromagnetism.
