investigations on land and demobilization on completion of
work. Work shall be carried out as per the standard procedure
for two nos. of bore holes of 150mm dia upto a depth of 10m
below existing ground level and two nos. of ERT test as per
Wenners method at the specified location. The report shall be
submitted in the form of six hard copies and one soft copy
containing all the necessary information like recommendation
on the SBC to be followed, minimum depth of footing and the
test results showing SPT value, Ground Water Level, Chemical
analysis, Specific Gravity, Atterberg Limits, Natural Moisture
Content, Bulk Density and Dry Density, Grain Size Analysis,
Triaxial Test (both drained and undrained), Unconfined
Compressive Test, Consolidation Test as specified, Shrinkage
Limit Test, Rock Crushing Strength (in saturated condition),
water Absorption of Rock, Point Load Index, Proctor Density
Test, Trial / Inspection Pit (3mx2mx3m deep) etc. complete in
all respect.

Earthwork
a) Excavation either straight / sloped with cutting and dressing
sides and bottom to the true dimensions.
b) Cement Concrete (PCC) dimensions shall be measured for
payment of Earth work.
Excavation in hard soil (moorum quality with soft disintegrated
rock ) for foundation, trenches, rafts, plinths, plinth area
leveling, etc.; to required depth from existing ground level
using mechanical means/manual, including stacking suitable
earth for backfilling within site ( 200m lead ) including keeping
the site dry at all times until completion of backfilling; making

SAND FILLING
Supplying and Backfilling in layers using coarse river sand
below and around foundations, mats, trenches, tunnels, in
plinth, underneath flooring and in soak pits etc. as shown in
the drawing and as directed by the EIC, complete in all
respects.
BRICKWORK for Buildings
Providing and constructing one or more bricks thick brickwork
using 50 grade bricks as defined in relevant IS code in 1:6
cement sand mortar in foundations, superstructure, manholes,
ducts, drains etc. at all heights and depths above and below
plinth level as per drawings ,specifications and directions of
the EIC, including fair cutting, bonding, plumbing, lining,
leveling, flushing, raking joints, scaffolding and curing, with all
materials , tools, tackles, plant and labour complete in all
respect.
Providing and constructing brickwork of half-brick thickness,
using 50 grade bricks as defined in relevant IS code in 1:4
cement sand mortar with reinforcement at every fourth course
at all heights and depths above and below plinth level for
partition walls as per drawings, specification and directions of
the EIC, including fair cutting, waste bounding, plumbing,
lining, leveling, flushing, raking joints, scaffolding and curing,
all materials, tools, tackles, plant and labour complete in all
respect.
Providing and constructing un-coursed random rubble masonry
in CM 1:6 including dressing /cutting of stones , pointing with
CM 1:2, formwork and scaffolding, making weep holes as per
drawing etc ( cement shall be free of cost )

PLASTER
Providing and laying plaster with 1 : 4 cement sand mortar at
and all heights and depths above and below plinth level to

chipping and curing as per specifications, drawings and
direction of the EIC, with all materials, tools, tackles, plant and

mortar at and all heights in RCC roof ceilings including

Providing and applying two coats of antifungal, anti-algal
weatherproof modified exterior acrylic emulsion paint of
approved make and shade as per procedure specified by the

Slope stabilization is limited to working areas (foundation, buildings etc.) within battery limit of this contract
and will be achieved by finishing the top surface to a slope of 1V:1H.

Quantity indicated under dismantling item is indicative. It is understood that the Agency has visited the site
and assessed the extent and quantum of dismantling involved against each one of them. No variation in
quantity shall be entertained for this. Agency has to quote this on a Lump sum basis.
Agency shall carry out controlled dismantling of various items specified in this document to ensure no
damages to the existing adjacent facilities and systems.
If any item is damaged (other than those specified in the drawings to be issued later) during the course of
dismantling works, the agency shall be liable to rectify the same without any additional cost.
Agency quoting for the work shall consider the necessary access road to facilitate the construction activity
under this scope of work as a part of their site enabling activity.
