    ARCS Convert by Chart Portfolio

    1. Import ARCS Chart Permit


    Insert ARCD License floppy disk to the ECDIS and start chart portfolio.

    Select Chart-ARCS-Import/Regist Chart Permit. Import/Enter Chart Permit dialog


    will be displayed.

    Click the Browse button. Find file dialog will be displayed.

    (a)Select Drive A from the Drive name combo box. (b)Double click A: from the
    Directory name list box. (c)Double click Arcs License file Name from the Filename
    list box.

    Confirm filename is selected then click the OK button.


    Confirm file name is selected

    Click the OK button in the Import/Enter Chart Permit dialog.

    ARCS Chart permit import will be finished.

    2.Confirm ARCS Chart Permit


    Select Tool-Option. Option dialog will be displayed.

    Select the ARCS tab and confirm License information.

    If ARCS Permit is imported,


    License information is displayed

    If ARCS Permit is not imported,


    You are NOT licensed is displayed.

    Select View-ARCS License Information. ARCS License Information dialog will be


    displayed.

    License Information is shown in the dialog.

    2.Convert ARCS Chart


    Insert an ARCS CD into the ECDIS.
    Select Sort-ARCS. ARCS Chart list will be displayed.

    If ARCS Chart list is not displayed, Click the Auto Detect button.

    Click the Import/Update button. ARCS Chart convert will be started.

    Import/Update

    Click the Log button, result of the conversion is displayed.

    After chart convert is finished, click the Exit button.

    (2)Click the Exit button

    (1)Confirm convert is finished

    NOTE: After converting all ARCS charts, chart portfolio calculates ARCS index file. If
    Exit button is in gray and cant be clicked although all ARCS charts have converted.
    Wait about 10 minutes until ARCS index will be made.

    3.Update ARCS Chart (If ARCS Update CD is exist)


    Insert an ARCS Update CD into the ECDIS.
    Select Sort-ARCS. ARCS Chart list will be displayed.

    If ARCS Chart list is not displayed, Click the Auto Detect button.

    Click the Import/Update button. ARCS Chart update will be started.

    Click the Log button, result of the conversion is displayed.

    After chart update is finished, click the Exit button.

    (2)Click the Exit button

    (1)Confirm update is finished

    NOTE: After updating all ARCS charts, chart portfolio calculates ARCS index file. If
    Exit button is in gray and cant be clicked although all ARCS charts have updated.
    Wait about 10 minutes until ARCS index will be made.
