Following the elementary
and jr. high performances,
the high school choir took
the stage. They sang The
Sea is so Wide by Huff &
Jacobson, Cantate Domino
by Althouse, and For Good
by Schwartz (from Wicked). The first two numbers
were the songs the choir
performed at the Missouri
Large Group State Contest,
where they received II ratings. Choir members include:
Sopranos - Katarina
DeRosier, Christina Hall,
Chase Henson, Sarah Merriett, Amber Riley, Mariana
Villagrana, Candace Campbell, and Jordan Mattice
Altos - Ahleah Anderson,
Bree Barnett, Hadley Barnett, Hannah Blank, Haley
Hall, Alissa Hurst, Melissa
Lang, Madison Ohrt, and
Gentri Staten
Baritones - Joe Brandenburg, Noah Brooks, Brendon
Bruns, Dylan Crawford,
Shae DeRosier, Colin Joesting, Ethan Riley, Nicholas

Owens, and Luis Villagrana


After the choir performed,
awards were handed out to
individual members.
The freshmen, sophomore, juniors, and seniors
were presented with letters
and pins. This years senior
choir members include Katarina DeRosier, Christina
Hall, Sarah Merriett, Amber
Riley, Mariana Villagrana,
AhLeah Anderson, Hadley
Barnett, Joe Brandenburg,
and Dylan Crawford. This
years senior band members include Evan Piveral,
Kaleigh Quimby, Hadley
Barnett, Katarina DeRosier,
Dylan Crawford, Christina
Hall, Dawn Hurley, Amber
Riley, and Cassidy Bothwell.
Other individual awards
presented included:
Two-Year Band Majorette Award - Hadley Barnett
Prairie Wind Festival Dylan Crawford and Dawn
Hurley (three years each)
All-District Choir Hadley Barnett (two years)
and Dylan Crawford (four
years)

Dylan Crawford, who took
an instrumental and vocal
solo to State Music Contest
and received II ratings on
each, was also presented a
unique award. At the state
contest, Dylan wore his
prom attire (tux and shoes)
and a judge deemed him
the Best Dressed Soloist at
the State Music Contest.
So, Dylan was presented an
award at the concert stating
just that.
Brad Mathers also presented an award to Tarkio
High School Principal Luke
Cox. Fifteen years ago, Brad
promised the seniors in jazz
band that they would receive an award. So, this year,
he was finally able to fulfill
that promise.
Following the award pre-

sentations, the high school


band performed three songs.
they included Spania by
Shaffer, Cumberland Cross
by Althouse, and Grease by
Gibbs & Adams. Spania and
Cumberland Cross were the
two numbers that the band
performed at Missouri Large
Group State Contest, where
they received II ratings.

Thursday, April 30, 2015,
to compete in the Junior
High Tiger Relays. The East

11th with 12.33 points. The
