Elementary picture tree

By Sophia Martin
The elementary school has had many new students,
many students who have moved away, the kids who have
moved on to the high school, and the kids who are in the
school right now. The school knows and remembers every
single one of those kids. We remember them all because we
have what we call a picture tree! The picture tree is held
in the school counselors room, the classroom where Mrs.
Henson works. When we have guidance class, every single
student looks at it because it is so mesmerizing! It probably
has more than 300 pictures of the kids on it. The tree is
filled with so many faces,
and they were all a part of
Tarkio Elementary. The tree
also has words on the top
that say, Each branch is
unique as you can see, put
us all together, and well
make a mighty tree!
The tree has been around
since 2004, when Mrs.
Henson started it. That year
was her first year being at
Tarkio. Every face of every
student on the picture tree
will always be a part of the
elementary! Please stop
by sometime and enjoy the
tree.
