At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
a. define digraph
b. identify words having digraph sound in the text.
c. pronounce the words with digraph correctly.

B. Motivation:
Before we start lets have an activity
by group. The first row will be group
one, the 2nd row will be group two,
and the 3rd row will be group three.
I have here pictures and riddles.
Each group will pick one riddle and
read it aloud then afterwards answer
it.
C. Presentation:
I have here a fable. Lets read in a
popcorn reading, but before that I
will read first, then afterwards I will
read the title then the first row will
read the first paragraph and the 2nd
row will read the 2nd paragraph and
the 3rd row will read the last
paragraph.

ph, which makes the /f/ sound as in
phone.

correctly, lets have another activity.
Game: GCP (Give, Construct,
Pronounce)
Mechanics:
The teacher divide the class into two
groups. Each group will pick their
topic and make a story using many
digraph sound.

Evaluation:

I will give words and construct only

one sentence using the words
provided. Write your answers on the
illustration board. After 20 second
each group will read your answer
with correct pronunciation. 5 points
for correct construction of sentences
and 5 points for correct
pronunciation of each word a total of
10 points.

5. phone, bring, shown
Each student will pick a number in a
box. The one who pick no.1 will be
the first to read the selection
followed by no. 2 until the last no.
Overall score will be 24 points.

Assignment:
Make an essay (2 paragraphs)
about what youve learned today
using many digraph sound. Read
it orally next meeting.
THE SHEEP AND THE PIG

One day a shepherd discovered a fat Pig in the meadow where his
Sheep were pastured. He very quickly captured the porker, which
squealed at the top of its voice the moment the Shepherd laid his hands
on it. You would have thought, to hear the loud squealing, that the Pig
was being cruelly hurt. But in spite of its squeals and struggles to
escape, the Shepherd tucked his prize under his arm and started off to
the butchers in the market place.
The Sheep in the pasture were much astonished and amused at the
Pigs behavior, and followed the Shepherd and his charge to the pasture
gate. What makes you squeal like that? asked one of the Sheep. The
Shepherd often catches and carries off one of us. But we should feel
very much ashamed to make such a terrible fuss about it like you do.
That is all very well, replied the Pig, with a squeal and frantic kick.
When he catches you he is only after your wool. But he wants my
bacon! gree-ee-ee!
