AIIMS, Bhubaneswar Schedule of Out Patient Departments (OPD) Services
OUT PATIENT DEPARTMENT (OPD) SERVICES
Location:- OPD services are situated near the entrance of main hospital building of
AIIMS Bhubaneswar. At present only one block is functioning.

General OPD (Monday-Saturday)


Afternoon Speciality Clinics
(Except Saturday)

Registration Time
8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Consultation Time
8.30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
2.30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
OPD Services are available from Monday to Saturday in the morning hours from 8.00
a.m. to 1.00 p.m. The Registration Fee for OPD Services is Rs 10/- per patient and is charged
for the first visit only once a year. The following is the list of specialties that offer OPD
services during the morning hours (8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.).

Besides the above OPD services, the following are the multidisciplinary afternoon
speciality clinics that are conducted by various departments mentioned alongside. The timing
for this OPD is from 2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
OPD Card costing Rs. 10/- can be purchased from cash counter, in ground floor. After
this, you should get yourself registered in the registration counter.
You have right to consult any doctor/ consultant. For seeking appointment with any
consultant on his OPD days, you may contact his/her office. Patients can take appointment
on telephone by ringing up (0674-2114400) on working days from 08.00 a.m. to 01.0.0. p.m.
and 02.00 p.m. and 05.00 p.m.
Patients are seen on first come first serve basis. However, out of turn consultation may be
provided in case of emergency or to senior citizens.
For consultation in afternoon sSpeciality clinics, you need to have been referred from
general OPD of AIIMS or any Government Institution.

Investigations: After OPD consultation, the treating doctor will fill up the requisition
forms for various investigations & direct/guide you to the concerned lab /dept.
Sample Collection Timings are :- 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Certain specialized investigations are done on particular days only.
The report normally reaches the concerned OPD on the next OPD day.
Certain investigations are done free of charge while others are charged as per the
prevailing rates fixed by Government. Patients should deposit the money only at the cash
counters and obtain the proper receipt.
Patients are given future dates by the concerned departments. However, these may be
done out of turn in urgent situations, on recommendation of the treating doctor.
Many facilities are provided at OPD level e.g. ECG, Physiotherapy, Lung function
tests, Plaster, Injection and Immunization free of cost.
Wheel chairs, patient trolleys etc. are available free of charge at the entrance of OPD.
OPDs have waiting hall with chairs, TVs, public utilities like drinking water & toilets etc.
You should park your vehicle in the parking only otherwise it is likely to be towed away.

There will be occasions when our services may not be up to your expectations.
Please do not hesitate to register your complaints. It will only help us serve you better.
You may lodge your complaints to the Officerin charge OPD services. Every complaint
will be duly acknowledged and sincere attempt will be made to solve your problem.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF USERS
The success of this charter depends on the support we receive from our users.
Please try to appreciate the various constraints under which the hospital is functioning.
Please follow the rules and regulations of the hospital while inside the hospital
campus.
Please do not cause inconvenience to other patients by crowding or making noise
unnecessarily.
Please help us in keeping the hospital and its surroundings neat and clean.
Please don't argue with security guards, show your passes when asked for & help
maintain the order and peace inside the hospital premises.
Please use the facilities of this hospital with care and do not damage/ spoil hospital
property.
Beware of Touts & unauthorized persons. Don't indulge in any money transactions
with them.
The Hospital is a No Smoking Zone.
Please refrain from demanding under favours from the staff and officials.
Please provide useful feedback and constructive suggestions. These may be addressed
to the Medical Superintendent of the Hospital.

Note:
1. Currently, only consultation services are being provided at the
OPD

2. No medico legal, emergency or inpatient service is available at


present.
3. Day care administration of chemotherapy for malignancies is being
offered.
