Email in fact, is an electronic mail. Electronic mail is the transmission of messages over
communications networks and most commonly referred to as email or e-mail. I think it is a
system for receiving, sending and for storing electronic messages.
In many cases email has become the preferred method for both personal and business
communication. It is faster method to communicate with each other from all over the world. It
has gained nearly a universal popularity around the world with the spread of Internet.

Why do we use Email?

We use e-mail due to different kinds of tasks such as to communicate with our friends
and relatives, in social media and for business communication. It has a number of advantages
such as it is free. It means that if once you are online there is no further expense and easy to

use. We can get information on our fingertips due to storing data online. We can same message
to any number of people.
Another Important advantage of email is that if you want to sell a product or service, email is an
effective medium to get your message out.

Marketing Emails
Marketing or bulk emails stimulate your clients and leads. They contain informative
messages. The recipient must agree to receive such emails: opt-in mandatory. However, the
recipient does not make an explicit request for message in particular.
For example, he does not describe December Newsletter, he rather subscribes to the

Monthly Newsletter. There can be a periodicity, but the message can also be sent to a
segment in particular. Nonetheless, the main point is that messages are sent independently
from specific actions from the clients.

Common examples for marketing emails are following;

Why do we use Email

Marketing?
The advantages of email marketing have been recognized by a number of authors. Jackson and
DeCormier (1999) recognized that email provided marketers with communication that permitted
relationship building and real-time interaction with customers.
Wreden (1999, p3) described email marketing as the 'Internet's killer application'
because of the precision with which email can be tailored, targeted and tracked. Low costs and
digital processing allows companies to send out huge numbers of emails. The medium is push
rather than pull, the consumer does not have to instigate the interaction, and currently response

rates are high (Di Ianni 2000; Rosenspan 2000).

Peppers and Rodgers (2000, p 4), claim that 'clear benefits, including high response
rates and low costs are rapidly turning email marketing into an invaluable tool'. Email marketing
can be used for acquisition or retention; this paper focuses on acquisition email marketing,
marketing designed to win rather than retain customers.

Solutions of Email
Marketing
Email marketing is not restricted by traditional time restrictions. Whereas direct mail
campaigns rely upon using snail mail, email promotions, says Email Marketing Reports,
generate immediate responses. In the time it takes an email to arrive and for a reader to
consume the information, you have increased awareness, paved the way for more information
and promoted your brand. Send a newsletter, for instance, offering discounts for travel
packages. Include a link to your travel site. Customers can instantly respond by requesting more
information or by booking a package.
Using email marketing engages readers. Email marketing campaigns are interactive.
Include graphics, Flash and surveys, for example, to bring potential clients into an experience
with your company and its product. According to Self SEO, when an email marketing recipient
clicks on a video or answers quiz questions, you create interest and command attention. Add
opt-in or opt-out opportunities for increased interaction.

3.

The retro nature of email designheavy on tables, blind to external CSSmakes life
interesting for designers. Styles must be declared inside each element, which can be a
tedious-if-not-interminable task. To save time and sanity, you can convert a well-designed
HTML file to inline CSS using a tool like Premailer.

4.

The free service lets you link to an online HTML file or copy and paste HTML code. What
sets Premailer apart is that you can further customize your new file by appending tracking
codes onto links and checking through a list of helpful options like removing unused tags
and comments. Premailer even tells you HTML and CSS warnings you might want to
watch for the next time you design.
