Ways to Help PTO

During the month of September 3rd grade is collecting


your coins or any money for the Rally Foundation
Research Center. The Rally Foundation is researching
ways to help cure childhood cancer. Any money you can
send will help! Thank you for your support!!!

Bingo Night Fall Activities

Come join us Friday, October 14th for Bingo and


fun, Fall activities. The fun will be from 5:30
8:00. There will be bingo, pumpkin painting, face
painting, and so much more! Contact PTO if you are
available to help that night!

This Week in School
Math- Multiplication: multiplication war, arrays, and
the properties of multiplication
Reading- Explain how the actions of a character
contributes to the sequence of events
Writing- Use dialogue and descriptions of actions,
thoughts, and feelings to show characters responses in a
narrative story
Grammar: Produce simple, compound, and complex
sentences
Science: What is heat? How is it produced?
Social Studies: Greece: explain the idea from
ancient Athens, Greece that a community should
choose its own leaders. Compare and contrast a
direct democracy with a representative democracy

Spelling Homework Begins this week! Spelling
tests will be given each Friday. The words for
this week are: long, froze, wrote, coach, roast,
oat, show, throw, know, grow, again, going, then,
people, where
RAH Log (Read at Home) - Complete RAH log
each night Monday through Thursday,
recommendation is 15-20 minutes. Record the
books read on RAH Log in T.E.A.M. Binder.
MAH (Math at Home) - Initial agenda, complete
math facts practice each night Monday through
Thursday, recommendation is 5-10 minutes math
facts practice.

SUPPLIES NEEDED!

Several students have not brought in scissors. Please do


so ASAP. We cut things out several times during the
week. If you can purchase some extra for us to keep in
the room, that would be great! I only have a few extra
to let students borrow, so additional extra scissors
would be greatly appreciated!
