    The ULTRACORR 2 IS Ultrasonic Reader/Data-logger is the next generation portable
    ULTRACORR Corrosion/Erosion Monitoring System which provides the highest resolution
    and most cost effective, direct wall thickness and temperature measurement on a pipe or
    vessel, using fixed Ultrasonic sensors mounted at various locations throughout a site.

    Non-intrusive Wall Thickness Corrosion/Erosion Monitoring


    Installation and setup of the non-intrusive ULTRACORR 2 ultrasonic sensors is safer and more cost effective than
    intrusive monitoring devices. The sensors are permanently fixed to the outer pipe wall and the cable/connector can
    be run to a convenient location for taking thickness and temperature readings using the portable reader/datalogger
    unit.

    Intrinsically Safe
    The ULTRACORR 2 ultrasonic sensors are rated for hazardous area locations (Zone 1) and are available for use
    in a wide variety of applications including offshore platforms, refineries, and pipelines. The user can program the
    ULTRACORR 2 to collect data using an IS Zone 1 rated portable Bluetooth instrument and subsequently transferred
    to a PC running Corrdata II software for storage and trend analysis in a safe area.

    Rated for High Temperature Applications


    The ULTRACORR 2 sensors rated for temperatures up to 302F (150C) and are equipped with an integral RTD
    temperature sensor which enables taking of simultaneous metal thickness and pipe wall temperature readings.
    ULTRACORR 2 sensors are particularly suited for refineries, where pipe and processing equipment can run at high
    temperatures. The sensors may be placed up to 25 feet away from the reader/data-logger, allowing readings to be
    taken in a safe location.

    Non-Consumable
    Unlike electrical resistance probes, the ULTRACORR
    2 sensor does not require replacement, and will
    provide many years of uninterrupted service, without
    the need for routine maintenance. The sensor is
    permanently fixed to the outer pipe wall using an
    epoxy couplant.

    High Resolution
    ULTRACORR

    sensors

    provide

    the

    highest

    resolution over conventional ultrasonic sensors. The


    0.1 mil (0.0025 mm) resolution allows for corrosion/
    erosion measurements to be calculated in a matter
    of weeks, rather than years. The ULTRACORR 2
    sensor is a true corrosion/erosion monitoring device,
    for permanent installation, providing frequent updates
    on corrosion rates in the users system.
