DURATION 4 hours
OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
Interpret the curriculum content and plan specific activities for meaningful learning.
Use various methods to monitor and assess knowledge and skills.
Examine the role of teacher; learners and resources in the activities.
ACTIVITIES (1 HOUR):
1. Discuss the principles of integration of language skills.
2. Discuss the purpose and rationale of integration of language content in the teaching of
language skills.
3. Discuss the strengths and limitation of each method.
PRACTICAL (2 HOURS):
1. Choose suitable teaching methods and conduct a 15 minutes simulation of teaching a
specific language skills and language content to own peers.

OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
Examine formative assessment and feedback used in the Malaysian Primary
Classroom.
Interpret the Primary School Syllabus and Curriculum Specification.
Identify the principles of organizing a Scheme of Work.
Design schemes of work and lesson plans consistent with various theoritical
framework.
ACTIVITIES (1 HOUR):
1. Integration of grammar and language skills in language arts..
2. Discuss the purpose and rationale of integration of language content in the teaching of
language skills.
PRACTICAL (2 HOURS):
1. Carry out a 15 minutes presentation on the integration of grammar and language arts in
lessons.
